Bio
editorial · groundedSinner turned pro in 2018 after training at the Piatti Tennis Center in Bordighera under Riccardo Piatti. Coached now by Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi, with fitness work under Umberto Ferrara. The signature shot is a flat, low-bouncing two-handed backhand taken early on the rise. Breakthrough season in 2023 with the first Masters 1000 in Toronto, followed by the 2024 Australian Open and US Open titles in the same calendar year. Reached world No. 1 in June 2024 and has held the position through most of 2025, with 19 tour-level singles titles and finalist appearances at three of the four majors. Plays out of Monte Carlo.
