Sabalenka made her WTA main-draw debut in 2016 and reached the top 10 for the first time in 2018 after a title run in Wuhan. The big serve and flat baseline striking became the signature weapons through 2021-2022, when she cleared three consecutive semifinal runs at the majors before breaking through at the 2023 Australian Open for her first Grand Slam title. Back-to-back Australian Open titles followed in 2024, and the 2024 US Open added a third major. Reached world No. 1 in September 2023 and has held the top spot consistently since. Trains primarily out of Miami.
